HELP/TIPS for Landing Sales/Sponsors

SALES:

Set up a form buyers can complete. (A GOOGLE form is good if you don't have your own.) Contact me to help set it up.

GET YOUR STAFF/COLLEAGUES/MEMBERS TO HELP: They could receive literature to distribute and/or work digitally and/or person-to-person.

 

PARTNER WITH OTHER BLACK/MELANATED ENTITIES--FOR BOTH SALES AND SPONSOR ACQUISITION: Not only can you acquire sales/sponsors more rapidly, you can also increase your total sales and sponsorship enough to print more batches--and/or even print larger batches at discount prices.

When selling, take orders—but NO MONEY until so instructed by TBM--which would be around printing time.

LET CUSTOMERS SEE EXAMPLE/FINISHED PLANNER PAGES: The example, or finished, PLANNER pages will be displayed for all to see--especially potential buyers/sponsors. Tell them to visit TBMPlanner.com and click the link allowing them to see the Final Content.

FIRST, SELL IN BUNCHES: Contact various Black businesses, organizations (including religious institutions), institutions with multiple Black staff/employees, etc., and see if they’ll take orders for you regarding their personnel. And don't forget to solicit your own Black personnel and/or members for sales.

 

PITCH THE PLANNER AS A USEFUL ITEM FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY: Since the PLANNER is laughingly cheap (only a buck), emphasize that, at that price, it's very affordable for the customer to buy one for *each family member. (*The average size of a Black family is around 4 = ONLY $12.)

 

PITCH THE PLANNER AS A GREAT, INEXPENSIVE, GIFT ITEM: It will be high-quality and a very decent gift to give during the Holidays and/or for other events occurring at practical times when the PLANNER is still relevant and useful according to the time of the year.

 

SIZE/CALENDAR COMPARISON: For those saying the PLANNER is relatively large (8-1/2 X 11)  compared to the standard, more portable, planner of smaller size that can be more easily tucked inside a purse, tell them that the PLANNER is mostly designed for everyday home use--but that it can still be taken along when a person goes out, easily fitting inside the standard portfolio or briefcase...or just being stored in the car if more convenient than being carried along. Also state  that people mark on their wall calendars all the time and that they never take those with them when they go out. Even though the PLANNER may be considered "large," it costs so little compared to most calendars, it contains more writing space, and, being the size of a sheet of paper, it can easily fit on a bedroom nightstand, desk, or table and/or in a drawer. ALSO: It would be much more practical--and personally beneficial--to buy multiple PLANNER copies that each individual family member can use as he/she pleases (and keep their daily-living discretions) than to buy what would probably be a more expensive singular calendar that isn't as much for individual-personal (private) use.

 

EMPHASIZE THE BLACK/MELANATED CONNECTION: For the Black/Melanated Populace, the PLANNER has useful content, promotes Black businesses & organizations via ads, raises funds for Black entities performing great works for our people, and promotes Black Socioeconomic Independence. (If you're approved, and if selling in bulk to Black businesses/organizations and/or seeking sponsors, you'll also have access to a page displaying the current SIGNIFICANT EVENTS 2026 page that will help you persuade customers to buy copies and sponsors to place ads. IF YOU WANT TO DISTRIBUTE/SELL BUT DON’T WANT TO LAND SALES AND/OR SPONSORS: I (TBM) can work to land those for you. You just agree to distribute and/or sell once you receive the copies.

 

REMAINING COPIES: You will be required to give away all remaining copies after January 15th—to ensure planner circulation so that sponsors will be assured of receiving ad exposure, to prevent the Planner copies from becoming obsolete, and so that TBM can benefit from exposure as well.

 

SPONSORS:

 

Take orders for ads but no money until *enough has been acquired to fund printing/shipping for a batch of copies. (*The present quote received from my printer is around $1,000 for 500 copies. Contact me for more quotes and details.) Along with that, also take no payments until the PLANNER is finished and ready for printing--for which you can keep abreast via 2026 TBM PLANNER-PAGES, plus you'll be notified via email and/or phone.

 

Use the same method for pricing ads (for singular copies) as I use in my FORM. When the TOTAL: AMOUNTS sponsors would pay equals/exceeds enough for a printing/shipping, you'll have enough. You could also negotiate pricing with the highest bidders if appropriate.

 

FREE AD-DESIGN!!! If your potential sponsors show interest but are lackadaisical in submitting their finished ad, tell them TBM (Keith) will provide the free service of preparing a possible ad for them based on the page-size they’re interested in. They would have to provide graphics and text content that is available from their site or that they could send to Blackindustry@yahoo.com.
